Corporate and Finance Practice
Clients receive innovative and aggressive representation by the Corporate and Finance Department. The lawyers in this department provide pragmatic, creative counsel and serve as deal-makers, not deal-breakers, which consistently enables clients to find solutions to difficult problems.
We assist our lending clients from start to finish, from the commitment letter to the documentation stage to the reorganization stage and when necessary, to the workout and insolvency stages. Our commercial real estate clients include developers and lenders. On their behalf, we develop and finance various types of properties including: apartment buildings, condominiums, HUD projects,
congregate-care facilities, nursing homes, shopping centers, casino gaming facilities, office buildings, manufacturing facilities and hotels.
As evidence of our involvement in complex and first-time issues, we recently represented our client in obtaining the first public offering by a Native American tribe.
In our bankruptcy and workout practices, clients include all those who may be affected by bankruptcy and reorganization cases: secured creditors, creditors' committees, trustees and debtors. Each client is served by a team of lawyers experienced in commercial loan documentation, commercial and bankruptcy law issues, negotiation, taxation and litigation. When required, we have represented clients in bankruptcy courts at the trial and appellate level.
Our Corporate and Finance lawyers have been recognized by their clients and peers as experts and have served or continue to serve as public, civic and professional leaders.
